EOS provides down payment grants to eligible GEMS applicants to offeset the cost of solar installation and provide immediate electrical bill savings.
For example, a house in Waianae with a 10 kW rooftop solar system will produce about $570 of electricity per month ($6,840 annually). With an EOS grant, the loan payment for the solar system is only $270 a month. The family will immediately save $300 per month in energy costs ($3,600 annually).
